BBC Radio 4's 'Open Country' discusses the new concept of National Landscapes
This week's Radio 4 programme 'Open Country' covered the review of landscape status carried out in 2019 by Julian Glover and his team ('the Glover Review'). Using the Chilterns as a case study, the programme explored the pros and cons of changing the status of the area from AONB to National Park, and covered the implications of having just one named status - 'National Landscape' - for all such protected areas. The half-hour programme can be heard here .
